PoetryBrowser - Poetry Submission Guidelines

Thanks for taking the time to review the on-line library poetry submission guidelines before submitting your poetry, poems, and prose to us for display on the web site. After submitting, your poem or poems will be available to the public almost immediately, which is to say 1-2 days.

Please use correct grammar and punctuation. If you're not sure how to spell something or the correct way to finish a poem, the Internet is flush with online dictionaries.

Please no poetry with overtly filthy language. This site is intended to be available for everyone, and I'm sure most parents don't want their kids reading a lot of filth. Besides, It is my opinion that to express yourself by cursing, that you just don't have anything worthwhile to say. Also, there is a profanity filter in place at time of post, so your poem will be rejected out of hand.

The only exception to the profanity filter are "hell", and "damn". Those two words will be forgiven and the poem containing them will still be saved. (We're not total prudes!) We do encourage using a language of sensuality. The English language has so many words, surely you can come up with an appropriate substitute.

Please add your real e-mail address when you save your poem to the poetry library. I will never spam you. or sell / give away you e-mail address. I would often like to e-mail the authors and tell them I liked their poem, or whatever.

No HTML tags or scripting of any kind will be tolerated. The poems are presented in a clean form that everyone seems to enjoy, and there is a tag filter at time of save, so don't use tags or scripts! This isn't a free-for-all links spam board!

Please make a comment about your poem, and use the Library to read and comment about other authors' poetry here. Please use encouraging comments for others work at all times. The comment system is intended to let authors help each other, not degrade them.

Please post only original work! PoetryBrowser.Com, Accelerated Design & Development nor the webmaster cannot assume liability for the poetry posted or comments stored by this website. However we do filter and delete poems we do not like. There is no 100% guarantee your poetry will be accepted, or won't be removed if we find it reasonably objectionable.

We employ a profanity filter on poetry and comments, and an e-mail warning system to prevent objectionable material being posted @ PoetryBrowser.
