Alone I sit in this deep dark place. With a heart that is breaking and with tears on my face. Words thrown like weapons cut me deep to the bone. Abandoned, shut out, you have left me alone. Where is the love, the warm tender embrace? How I long for a smile from your cold, stony face. I call out to God in the midst of despair. His word says He hears me, it tells me He's there. I pray for your heart to be softened with love. For God to send angels from His throne above. I ask for your spirit to be lifted and filled. Restored with a hope that only true love can give. Through the pain and the sorrow I continue to go. Waiting for you, praying for you, hoping you'll know. My love for you is a choice, one I gladly make. I will honor my vows for our loves' own sweet sake. Until the fog gently lifts and we're together again. Until the battle is over and we're once again friends. Until the love is rekindled with passion and fire. Until the coldness is replaced with love's sweet desire. I will open my heart and hold it for you. We will make a fresh start and our love will be new. For I now know the secret of love meant to live. It is simply the message Learn To Forgive.
