I found myself sitting in a park One evening close to dark As thoughts began to wander Over the dad that was never had When a father raised a voice to his son My thoughts went asunder The little boy frowned As these words I found It's only because the man has a care The same point of a view We do not share Little boy if only you knew How I would give up a year Just to hear A father yell A priceless experience the young man just had So don't be sad Go to bed tonight glad Sleep warm and know That there is saftery all around Wake up tomorrow grateful Look at your father and always treasure What nothing else can compare to or measure For you he would die Don't be niave and try to wander why So when you are grown Sitting in a park one day like me Look back on what forever you'll own A priceless experience How I wish to tell that little boy these things
