Paddy Field Dusty hot gale blowing on earth; Deep soil cracks are meter in girth, Dry wind spread heat everywhere; Streams and lakes stops murmur, Poor farmer dwells in thatched hut; His expectations were brutally cut, His heart fills with agony and dismay; Hopes after hopes went astray, When rain clatters on field; His heart fills with bliss, Rain drops fills field with loving care; For good yield he vowed and prayer, Seeds are eager to grow and ripe; Pale yellow fields turns to green stripes, Hedges are covered with green weeds; Junvenile plants aspire to breed, Muddy water glitters in sunrays; Water serpent twist in many ways, Swans are roaming here and there; Snow white feathers looks very fair, Black bill searching fishes and frogs; They thrills and afraid of flying hawk, Crabs crawls and snail glides for gasping prey; Fishes swims and engulf in moist clay, Women are transplanting with bending waist; Singing rainy songs whose harmony is best, All are chilled and drowned in rain; In mud heels after heels they sustain, Paddy may ripe or unripe very soon; But farmer hopes everlast for monsoon.
